Bat Day at Mammoth Cave National Park
September 5
Join us for a “Bats in Hand” research demonstration from 7 PM – 9PM at the Historic Entrance. Watch as trained researchers carefully capture bats, collect data, and record health information before releasing them back into the night. All bats are handled gently using approved methods, and no bats are harmed during the research process. Bring your curiosity and enjoy one of Mammoth Cave’s most popular annual events!
