Meet & Greet with Floyd Collins Cast – Hosted by Ramsey Theatre Co & SKYPAC at Ace Coffee Co

Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Floyd Collins’ Rescue – Meet & Greet Event

February 8th marks the 100th anniversary of “Carnival Sunday,” the day the dramatic rescue of Floyd Collins began. On that day in 1925, nearly 10,000 people gathered at Sand Cave, hoping to witness his safe recovery.

To honor this pivotal moment in the history of Mammoth Cave and Cave City, SKyPAC and Ramsey Theatre Company present a special Meet & Greet with the Cast of Floyd Collins—a haunting musical that tells the true story of an American dreamer whose ambition to transform a Kentucky cave into a tourist attraction turned him into one himself when he became trapped underground.

While the full production will take place on March 8th at SKyPAC, you can experience an exclusive mini-performance and meet the cast at Ace Coffee Co. on Saturday, February 8th, at 8 AM.

Additionally, a rare exhibit of artifacts and memorabilia from Floyd Collins’ life and the history of Mammoth Cave—curated from personal family collections—will be on display for the day.

Join Ace Coffee Co for a morning of history, storytelling, and music as we remember one of Kentucky’s most legendary figures.
