Star Party at Mammoth Cave National Park

October 15 @ 6:00 PM

🌟 Join Mammoth Cave National Park for a #StarParty on Tuesday, October 15! 🌟
Join them for a special night under the stars in search of Comet A3 Tsuchinshan! ✨ They’ll get the celebration started at 6 p.m. with an astronomy program in the outdoor amphitheater.
Join park rangers to learn about stargazing basics and ways they can protect their night skies from light pollution. Afterward, they’ll take a short hike to Sunset Point for an exciting opportunity to spot the comet as it graces the sky just after sunset! 🌠
The fun won’t stop there! Visit the bus loop behind the park visitor center where telescopes will be available to view the full moon, Saturn, and star clusters until 9:30 p.m. 🪐 Knowledgeable park rangers and members of the Hilltopper Astronomy Club from Western Kentucky University will also be on hand to answer your questions.
Bring your chairs, blankets, warm drinks, binoculars, and telescopes and cozy up under the stars for an event that’s sure to shine! They may even see a few meteors if you’re lucky!
This event is free for all to attend. No reservations are required. 🌙 We hope to see you there!
